- 8 eggs
- 1 package of crescent rolls (You could totally use a bread machine to make your own, though I have not tackled this yet, so for not, I use the processed goodness. And though still processed, there are organic and minimally processed dough options.)
- 1 – 1 lb package of ground breakfast sausage, browned
- 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
- A splash of milk
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Making something delicious…
- For prep, preheat oven to 350F, and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- Unroll the crescent rolls into the bottom of the dish, being sure to press the seems together, creating an unbroken layer of dough on the bottom of the dish.
- If you have not already browned the breakfast sausage, do so. Then layer it on top of the crescent roll dough.
- Then in a large cup or bowl, mix together the 8 eggs with a splash of milk, just as you would for scrambled eggs. Pour this mixture on top of the sausage.
- Sprinkle with cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Bake for 30-45 minutes, depending on your oven. I found that in my oven, it usually takes about 40 minutes.
