Breakfast Casserole Recipe

  • 8 eggs
  • 1 package of crescent rolls (You could totally use a bread machine to make your own, though I have not tackled this yet, so for not, I use the processed goodness. And though still processed, there are organic and minimally processed dough options.)
  • 1 – 1 lb package of ground breakfast sausage, browned
  • 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  • A splash of milk
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
Making something delicious…
  1. For prep, preheat oven to 350F, and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. Unroll the crescent rolls into the bottom of the dish, being sure to press the seems together, creating an unbroken layer of dough on the bottom of the dish.
  3. If you have not already browned the breakfast sausage, do so. Then layer it on top of the crescent roll dough.
  4. Then in a large cup or bowl, mix together the 8 eggs with a splash of milk, just as you would for scrambled eggs. Pour this mixture on top of the sausage.
  5. Sprinkle with cheese, salt, and pepper.
  6. Bake for 30-45 minutes, depending on your oven. I found that in my oven, it usually takes about 40 minutes.
