- 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 Tb cocoa powder (I used Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa powder, I bought it for another recipe I want to try this week, and it was AWESOME in this recipe. You can also totally use regular cocoa powder. This is NOT the same thing as hot cocoa mix, it's an unsweetened cocoa powder that you can find in the baking aisle)
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3 cups quick cooking oatsIn a heavy saucepan bring to a boil, the sugar, cocoa, butter and milk. Let boil for 1 minute then add peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal. On a sheet of waxed paper, drop mixture by the teaspoonfuls, until cooled and hardened.
